NFL Draft – Day 2 recap

NFL Draft’s Biggest Winners and Losers, Rounds1-3

Jalen Hurts

Winners

Cincinnati Fan Base

It was pretty simple, actually, for the Bengals fans to get what they asked for. They had the no. 1 pick and all they had to do what not mess up. Mission accomplished. Not only did they get the top QB, but they also picked someone else for him to throw to. Great job not messing up Cincy!

CeeDee Lamb

Also pretty simple, the Dallas Cowboys saw the opportunity and took it on CeeDee. No questions to be asked here. CeeDee adds to an already explosive offense AND gets to keep his phone. But what makes him a winner is that Dallas went defense for the next two rounds. This potentially puts less stress on the offense and Dak Prescott to make great decisions.

Bill Belichick is arguably the greatest coach ever. That being said, if he drafts a safety from a Division-II school in the second round, you just go with it. With images of his dog sitting in his seat while the Pats were on the clock, many have suggested that the dog actually drafted that pick. With some perplexed, others simply looked to the future. What does this mean for small schools? Is this the future? Is Bill Belichick’s dog secretly a mutant? Find out on the next episode of…

Losers

Aaron Rodgers

Yes, the Packers just drafted Aaron Rodgers’ replacement. Yes, they also just drafted a third string running back. Yes, they drafted a Tight end, and completely neglected the defensive side of the ball… Should I go on?

NoAFC East Defenses

The Miami Dolphins drafted Tua Tagovailoa with the 5th pick in the draft. If he’s anything like they say he will be, the Bills, Jets, and Pats better draft some more DBs. The dolphins have some weapons at the WR position as well. After only winning 4 games in 2019, it’ll be interesting to see what the stud QB can do with his array of talent and a loaded defensive unit.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ Fan Base

In this double whammy, both Jalen Hurts and fans equally suffer from the Eagles questionable draft choices. After passing up on Justin Jefferson for… Jalen Reagor, Philly decided to draft Jalen hurts in the second round. They obviously have their starting QB and it seems like they don’t trust that their QB can stay healthy. If that’s the case, it would have made more sense for them to draft an OL in the second round. Either way, the Jalen Hurts hype train is currently being derailed due to the fact that he’ll be on the bench until further notice. For fans of the Oklahoma QB, they’ll have to wait
