Player Profile: Romello Brinson
By Jonthan Harris

One of the nation’s best pass catchers, standing at a solid 6-feet and 2-inches, is looking to win
his 4 th straight state championship at Miami Northwestern High School. Romello Brinson is a
2021 stud who shows potential to be one of college football’s best players in the near future.
Footballville Nation recently interviewed Mello and got to talking about his goals. When asked
about his college football aspirations, he made it clear that he wouldn’t settle for anything less
than absolute greatness. He models his game after Chad Ochocinco, former Bengals stud
wideout and underrated route-runner.

On film, it is easy to see how quick his feet are and how

shifty he is. He could be a premiere route-runner at the next level as well. Also, with a developed
frame at 6’2”, he could easily grow an inch or two in the next few years which would make him
a matchup nightmare for defenders. During quarantine, he told Footballville how active he was
staying and the preparation for next season. For players as dedicated as Brinson, his talent is
scary for rivals at the next level. Brinson is a pretty stoic kid and his mind is focused on
achieving his goals and tuning the nonsense out. For Mello, being a leader in the locker room is
more of leading by example. He teaches the young ones behind him by putting in the work every
day. Mello puts on for his city and is going to put on for his college home.
